Listening to the first part of Melodicity that opens the repertoire, 
we say that the description of this album will not be simple: 
we hear indeed an alloy of tradition and modernity, a sound halfway between acoustics and the electric. 
But what we finally remember is the hyper-melodic approach of the guitarist and his ability 
to deliver fluid sentences with immense clarity, helped by his superb Gibson ES-175 Sunburst. Whether on the moving 
I Remember Chass or on the ballad Calme Temps, literally atmospheric, through a quiet Waltz in D Major, 
the sumptuous world of Christian Brown is under the spell of pure melody and delicate lyricism, 
which does not stop him from sometimes nonchalantly grooving like on the throbbing Zombie's Dance 
where the notes are more pressing than elsewhere. Brun has left a lot of space to his friend Damien Argentieri 
who plays here exclusively from Fender Rhodes and is totally in the serene and smiling vision of his leader. 
On the splendid A Breath Of Fresh Air, we have the pleasant surprise to find the trumpet player Alex Tassel 
with whom the guitarist has recorded several times. The refined styles of the two soloists, 
who sometimes play in unison, marry perfectly on this composition which counts among the most successful of the disc. 
The repertoire closes on Yes Wes, effectively introduced by the drums of Manu Franchi, and whose theme declined 
in the manner of Wes Montgomery is prolonged on a improvisation at a glance. 

Magnified by a warm and intimate sound, this album offers a poetic 
and soothing sound journey likely to appeal to a wide audience.
