If getting the Christmas shopping done in time and worrying about tasty treats seems stressful, Channel 5 offers us a sobering documentary series on the people facing real challenges over the festive period, beginning with homelessness. We meet single mum Emily, 30, as Dover Council moves her into temporary bed and breakfast accommodation. Will her two children be among the 90,000 youngsters in Britain waking up homeless on Christmas Day? We also hear how Big Issue seller Cathy, 35, came to be living on the streets, and why Paul, 45, has been sleeping rough since he was 16.
