Omschrijving
Observational documentary series revealing what's involved in keeping Oxford Street running, following the police and the paramedics, in the shops and on the underground.
Keeping Europe’s busiest shopping street running smoothly is a Herculean task. This no-nonsense daily series introduces us to dedicated London street cleaners (including the conscientious Andre, who likes to identify what sort of drink has been spilt on the pavement), police officers battling with unlicensed rickshaw drivers (be warned, one charges an outrageous £5 per person per minute for a ride) as well as being a fly on the wall at the latest shop to open on the strip.
It goes below ground, too: we see police medics treating an escalator injury on the Tube and join Thames Water workers (or flushers) as they maintain the Victorian sewers.
