The Raconteurs have released their new Live at Electric Lady EP and documentary film via Spotify. They shared the film’s trailer earlier this week, which shows Jack White talking to filmmaker Jim Jarmusch in the studio about their decision to cover the Richard Hell & the Voidoids classic “Blank Generation.” Watch the full film, and listen to the EP below.
The new EP features seven live tracks recorded at NYC’s legendary Electric Lady Studios in late 2019. The film highlights the recording process and includes Jarmusch’s interview with the Raconteurs, as well as a behind-the-scenes footage of the group recording “Blank Generation,” featuring a special appearance from original Voidoids guitarist Ivan Julian. (Julian explains the song’s memorable guitar hook to the band.)
