Omschrijving

Formed officially in April 2004, Setna's roots go back to 2001 with the groups Badjada 
and Gilles Wolff's jazz quartet where some of the future band members got to play 
and jam together at the Bâteau Ivre in Rouen (north of France, in Normandy).
In 2006 two new members joined the group, vocalist Natacha Jouet and soprano sax 
player Guillaume Laurent. The new lineup re-wrote their existing music. In the fall of 
2006 Setna entered Gare Aux Musiques studio to start the recordings of the coming 
Cycle I album. The recording had two guest musicians in the form of James Mc Gaw 
(guitar, Magma) and Benoit Bugeïa (fender Rhodes).  The album Cycle I was released 
through Alain Lebon's Soleil Zeuhl label in 2007. In 2013 they released Guerison.
