SHETLAND is the crime drama which has won over fans for it's perfect mix of suspense and drama.
What is Shetland about?
Shetland started off as an adaptation of the renowned novels by Ann Cleeves, who also created Vera.
But like the third series, the episodes are not based on any story penned Ann.
When Thomas Malone has his conviction overturned after serving 23 years in jail, DI Jimmy Perez has to review the 1994 death of a local teenager, Lizzie Kilmuir, and continue the investigation.
Malone finds himself under suspicion again, when a local journalist is found dead under similar circumstances.
Perez and his team will need to set aside prejudice and ignore hearsay to find the truth.
