Het verhaal gaat over een klein stadje in New England die op onverklaarbare
wijze is afgesloten van de rest van de wereld door een enorme transparante
koepel. Inwoners van de stad proberen te overleven in de verslechterde
post-apocalyptischeomstandigheden en zoeken naar antwoorden op de vraag wat
deze barriere is, waar het vandaan kwam en hoe ze de kunnen laten verdwijnen.

An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon a small fictional town
in the United States, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of
civilization. The trapped townsfolk must discover the secrets and purpose of
the "dome" and its origins, while coming to learn more than they ever knew
about each other.
