The Beautiful Lie is an Australian television drama series set to screen on ABC. This six part series is a contemporary re-imagining of Leo Tolstoy's classic novel Anna Karenina.[1] It is directed by Glendyn Ivin and Peter Salmon and produced by Endemol Australia's John Edwards and Imogen Banks

John River, a brilliant police officer whose genius and fault-line is the fragility of his mind - a man haunted by the murder victims whose cases he must lay to rest.
