Egyptian Challenge is a Columns clone. Like in that classic, columns made of three jewels fall from the top of the screen and have to be arranged to make matches of three or more of the same type.

The screen is divided in two fields, each side dedicated to a player. The adversary can be the computer or another player. These fields have tabs at the top, where power-ups are stored as hieroglyphics for later use. Power-ups are collected by making combos, multiple matches at the same time.
