Aura is an Italian progressive metal band formed in 1996.Initially a trio,the line-up consisted of members 
Giovanni Trotta (vocals,drums),Giuseppe Bruno (guitars)and Angelo Cerquaglia (bass).This line-up recorded 
two demos Promo 97 and 1988...Cold and began to perform regularly.
In 2000 Aura became a quintet,adding guitarist Salvatore Cataldo to the line-up and in 2002 the band 
released another demo titled The Wait. After the release of The Wait Giuseppe Bruno and Salvatore Cataldo 
left Aura and were promptly replaced by guitarist Diego Corini and keyboardist Francesco Di Verniere.
The band recorded their fourth demo New Life, which was released in 2004.
Aura finally released their debut full-length album A Different View From The Same Side in 2008.Aura play 
complex, technical yet melodic progressive metal with some 70's era prog rock influences and are highly 
recommended to all progressive metal fans.
