Zijn doorbraak was de single 'Loser' in 1994, zijn huidige muziekstijl is te omschrijven als folk, funk, soul, hip-hop, alternatieve rock, country en psychedelia. 


Beck's 13e album, 'Colors', bevat de hit singles zoals "Wow" en "Dreams", beide 3FM Megahit. 
Het album werd geproduceerd door Greg Kurstin (van onder andere Adele, Sia).
