WASTE LAGOON is a progressive metal band formed in 1990 in Bergen, Norway. Their music is influenced by bands like RUSH, TILES but also bands from old school like KANSAS or YES. 
The band has Frode FREDIKSEN on vocals, Ronny TERTNES on guitar and occasionally keyboards, Sune AKSNES bass and Zsolt MESZAROS on drums. 
The music is well written, tight and has many great moments that will please both RUSH and YES fans alike. 
The musicians are highly skilled, the melody and harmony of the songs proves that they were a talended and promising band of early this decade, but sadly they disbanded soon after this album. 
WASTE LAGOON release a single album so far in 2001 named "Shadow Chaser", the album has a distinct sound and its own merits in the prog metal field.
