Is sugar the new fat?

So, in a new documentary, airing on SBS on Monday night, Latta sets out on a journey to peel back the sugar coating and see what truth lies beneath the debate consuming nutrition experts.
First up he meets the man who has become known as the 'anti-sugar guy', endocrinologist and pediatrician, Robert Lustig.
"Your liver has a finite capacity to metabolise a finite amount," Lustig tells Latta. "A little is OK, a lot is not. When you overwhelm our liver's capacity to metabolise it we get into trouble and that is what we're seeing."
